I’ve created this site to explore business opportunities within the new green economy, with a particular focus on Australia.
After years of reading American and other foreign sites dedicated to green business, and being surprised that no one seems to be focusing on Australian businesses, I’ve decided to fill that gap.
I’m a firm believer that there is huge potential for profit from better integrating environmental and social factors into our businesses.
For too long, businesses treated sustainability as a ‘nice to have’, but not a necessary, or profitable element of their business. Some of these businesses treat sustainability as a cost of doing business – something they have to do to keep up appearances, while others don’t even bother faking it.
Through this site, I hope to showcase the next wave of business that sees beyond this outdated view, and is finding opportunities for profit, that also hold benefits beyond the balance sheet.
These are the companies that will shape the next decades, and will play a crucial role in addressing climate change, water scarcity and other major challenges of our times.
